Kickstarting the New Year with great news! We’re thrilled to highlight our portuguese R&D partner for bedlinen products, Lameirinho, that is proudly presenting AeoniQ™ for the first time in its range at Heimtextil 2025 in Frankfurt this week.

 

According to Jorge Leitão, the Technical Director at Lameirinho, “the AeoniQ™ yarn is replacing Cotton or Tencel, although it has significantly different characteristics from both. With the application of AeoniQ™, we are using an eco-friendly fiber and we want to obtain a silkier touch and greater durability, which will also increase the sustainability of the articles. In some cases of 100% AeoniQ™ articles, you obtain a real “vegan silk”. But contrary to silk, the AeoniQ™ is more durable and environment friendly.”

In September 2023 the German Premium fashion company HUGO BOSS has launched three limited-edition AeoniQ™ outerwear pieces at the BOSS FW23 Fashion Show in Milan.

Crafted from innovative AeoniQ™ fabric, these more sustainable pieces are part of a new BOSS initiative, known as THE CHANGE.

A timeless double-breasted trench coat for men, a classic trench coat for women, and a sleek, gender-neutral  bomberjacket enhanced with a biobased membran have been introduced – all in signature BOSS Style.

Premium German fashion company HUGO BOSS has unveiled its first garment crafted with AeoniQ™ fiber: a seamless, high-performance Polo Shirt. This marks a milestone in the company’s partnership with AeoniQ™, which will enable the replacement of synthetic fibers to reduce their impact on the planet.

This new style is part of the BOSS Green collection line, designed for urban environments with BOSS’ renowned performance-driven qualities and worn by Italian tennis player Matteo Berrettini.

AeoniQ™ is a revolutionary cellulosic yarn created from certified wood pulp – one of many possible renewable raw materials from which it can be made. Its performance attributes are comparable to those of polyester.
